Tired All the Time

It’s more than just a lack of sleep. It’s a pervasive sense of heaviness — physically, mentally, and emotionally.

This kind of fatigue doesn’t always make sense. It might not matter how much rest is gotten — the tiredness persists. Daily tasks may begin to feel overwhelming, and things that once brought joy or engagement may now feel like burdens. Despite what seems like adequate sleep, energy remains low, and the motivation to engage with the world may fade.

The exhaustion can be difficult to pinpoint. It’s not always about physical tiredness; it can also be linked to deeper, less visible stresses — the emotional toll of unspoken thoughts or the ongoing effort of keeping things in place. There may be a cost to maintaining composure, an unacknowledged weight that gradually builds up over time.

In therapy, there is space to explore what this tiredness might be signaling. It’s not about pushing through the fatigue or fixing it immediately, but about slowing down to listen to the experience. What lies behind the weariness? What might it be masking or reflecting?
